The long-awaited "Where Art Takes Shape" is dazzling Marina Bay Sands from 16-26th January 2025. On this third edition, an array of curated activities across the entire resort are showcased as a tribute to the multifaceted world of art while reinforcing the resort's commitment to advancing the arts and culture of Singapore.

We hope this experience will inspire visitors from all backgrounds to appreciate art as a universal language that transcends cultures and generations,” said Paul Town, the Chief Operating Officer of Marina Bay Sands.

Kicking off a global journey through art

The pinnacle of this festival is ART SG, the leading international art fair in Singapore and Southeast Asia, held from 17-19th January 2025 which brings together 106 prestigious galleries from 30 countries at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre. Dwell in a diverse range of modern art, engaging discussions, and enjoyable film programs in collaboration with the ArtScience Museum, featuring a selection of innovative films and videos created by artists, along with documentaries on the lives and careers of renowned artists.

Continuing the exploration of transformative cultural narratives in art, Behind the Canvas Series 1: Jean-Michel Basquiat is also taking place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre between 16th December 2024 and 6th March 2025. Two major exhibitions from the ArtScience Museum of fresh perspectives on art are showcased as well. The World of Studio Ghibli, which debuted as the first official Studio Ghibli exhibition in Singapore in October 2024, takes spectators on a mesmerising journey through 16 theatre sets inspired by the legendary animation films across 11 galleries.

Moreover, Altered States: Experiments in Moving Image stretches the imagination beyond the frame of moving images, presenting four stunning film presentations, accompanied by a tribute to the legendary figures of analogue filmmaking and live-action cinema. Originally planned for a month-long exhibition, Altered States has been extended until 2nd February 2025 due to high demand, thus allowing art and film enthusiasts to dive deeper into the allure of analogue film and timeless experimental techniques.
