Hundreds of scholarships across numerous universities in Indonesia are opening through the Online Scholarship Competition (OSC) Medcom.id 2025. Organised by the Surya Edukasi Bangsa Foundation (SEBAF), OSC Medcom.id 2025 marks the 11th year of this pioneering program, which aims to expand access to higher education for young Indonesians through merit-based scholarships.
“This year, we are offering 399 scholarships. There are 364 for undergraduate and 35 for postgraduate studies, with a combined scholarship value of IDR 29.6 billion,” stated Herfindo Gading, Secretary of the Surya Edukasi Bangsa Foundation, on Thursday, 21st August 2025.
Since its inception in 2015, OSC Medcom.id has collaborated with 40 universities, helping democratise scholarship access by enabling students from across the country to participate in a fully online selection process. A total of 3,880 scholarships have been awarded to deserving Indonesian students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees since 2024.

Who can apply?
Undergraduate scholarships are open to current 12th-grade students and 2025 high school graduates who are not currently employed. Moreover, the Postgraduate scholarships are open to the public, with no age restrictions.
Key dates and registration fees
Applications are open from 21st August to 12th November 2025, with fees as followed:
- Undergraduate is at IDR 35,000
- Postgraduate is at IDR 150,000
However, early applicants can enjoy a 50 per cent discount on registration fees until 24th August 2025, priced at IDR 17,500 for Undergraduates and IDR 75,000 for Postgraduates.
Registration fees include access to four tryouts, scheduled below:
- Three sessions in October 2025
- One session in November 2025

Selection process
The selection will involve two stages. An online test (multiple-choice questions) will be held on 15th November 2025 with results announced on 19th November. Ultimately, a final test for those who pass the first stage between 19th November and 3rd December 2025. This final test includes submission of academic documents, certificates, and transcripts, as well as interviews with university representatives, psychological assessments, and academic potential tests (depending on the university). Scholarship recipients will be announced during the OSC Awards, to be held from 19-20th December 2025.
