In a remarkable display of solidarity, the Grand Hyatt Bali, Hyatt Regency Bali, and the R.O.L.E Foundation joined forces on April 6th, 2023, to organize the Hyatt to Hyatt Canoe Race 2.0. This eagerly anticipated event brought together individuals from across the globe to embark on a thrilling journey, rowing from Sanur to Nusa Dua shore, all for a noble cause.

The primary objective of the event was to raise funds in support of hundreds of marginalized women and provide environmental education for the youth of Bali. The 2023 edition of the Hyatt to Hyatt Canoe Race proved to be an overwhelming success, as it raised over IDR 1 billion, making it one of the most impactful fundraising events on the island.

Kicking off at the picturesque Hyatt Regency Bali on Sanur beach, 130 participants braved the elements, enduring 13 kilometers of sand, wind, and waves. After two hours of relentless paddling, they triumphantly reached the shores of Nusa Dua, where a spectacular grand finale awaited them at the iconic Grand Hyatt Bali. The participants were treated to a delectable buffet brunch, accompanied by live music, while a series of exciting activities such as silent and blind auctions, abundant prizes for participants, and a vibrant community market added to the festive atmosphere.

Adding to the already awe-inspiring atmosphere, the Hyatt to Hyatt Canoe Race 2.0 also featured a truly empowering moment—a heartfelt performance by the disabled community. Their captivating rendition of an original song centered around embracing their disadvantages and transforming them into sources of uniqueness left attendees spellbound. This moving performance not only showcased their incredible talent but also served as a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience that lies within each individual. 

The funds raised during this awe-inspiring event will be allocated to two of R.O.L.E.'s skill centers. The first is Bali Wise, an initiative that empowers young and marginalized Indonesian women by providing them with valuable educational skills. The second is the ZeroWaste Centre, which focuses on imparting ecological knowledge and waste management training to the local community of Bali. Through these vital programs, the organizers aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need and contribute to the sustainable development of the island.
