Cocok Nada: Pameran Perancangan Alat Musik

COcok Nada

Selasar Pavilion will open "Cocok Nada: Pameran Perancangan Alat Musik" and present the works of (the late) Dodong Kodir (Lungsuran Daur Contemporary Instrument), Fauzie Wiriadisastra, Genta Guitar, and Störn System.

Cocok Nada is the opening program in the first year of the Selasar Pavilion. With the aim of bringing design discourse to a wider audience, this exhibition raises objects of study that are felt to be closer and more universal in everyday matters, namely musical instruments and sounds.

Various musical instruments and sounds in this exhibition exist as a medium for reflection in the context of design disciplines. The variety of study objects displayed ranges from conventional musical instruments to intuitive and experimental-sounding instruments. The diversity of this typology stems from the awareness of the designer in determining the intrinsic value of the tools he makes. This form of awareness then rolls over and brings the essence of each tool to the midst of the industrial, artistic, and social environment that is so heterogeneous today.
