Strategically located in the heart of Kuta, Djaman Doeloe Bali features a refreshed exterior design that beautifully blends traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary touch, using a harmonious mix of wood and stone materials. The restaurant is set into two areas - an outdoor space bathed in natural daylight, and a semi-indoor area overlooking the hotel’s spacious lagoon. The design evokes the authentic spirit of Bali and captures the vibrant energy of Kuta.
As a new restaurant in Kuta, Djaman Doeloe Bali offers two signature dishes - Rijstaffel Ajengan Bali and Nasi Besek. Rijstaffel Ajengan Bali showcases a variety of renowned Balinese dishes such as Ayam Sere Lemo, Tum Ayam, Sambal Matah, Sate Lilit, and more. Each dish is crafted to provide guests with a rich experience of Balinese flavors, textures, and aromas. Meanwhile, Nasi Besek is presented in a traditional woven bamboo container, a serving method deeply rooted in Indonesian heritage. This presentation not only enhances the authenticity of the dining experience but also carries profound cultural symbolism. The dish reflects values of generosity, gratitude, and friendship, embodying the spirit of togetherness and communal harmony.
In addition to its culinary offerings, Djaman Doeloe Bali invites guests to enjoy authentic Balinese beverages, Arak-based cocktails. Arak is a traditional alcoholic drink made from fermented coconut flower sap, palm sap, or glutinous rice. Its bold taste and aroma are expertly blended with selected ingredients to create unique cocktails that highlight the sweet essence of Arak.
Djaman Doeloe Bali is open every day from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all hotel guests as well as visitors who are not staying at the hotel.
