Rumari Bali is pleased to announce the second event of its Rumari and Friends series in 2025, featuring a four-hands dinner in partnership with Bangkok’s Maison Dunand, available on Saturday and Sunday, 22 & 23 March from 6.30 pm onwards.
Launched in 2023, the ‘Rumari and Friends’ series celebrates global culinary connections by inviting internationally renowned chefs from around the world to collaborate on multi-course dining experiences. These events embrace friendship and cultural exchange, blending diverse influences to create a one-of-a-kind culinary journey. Each collaboration showcases the creativity and expertise of guest chefs while honouring unique regional flavours and techniques.
The second lineup of the year brings Chef Arnaud Dunand Sauthier of Maison Dunand to Rumari. Maison Dunand offers a contemporary twist on the classic French cuisine that has defined the chef’s illustrious career. Located in Bangkok, this one-Michelin-starred dining destination embodies Chef Arnaud’s deep-rooted connection to his childhood in the Savoie region of France, where he first developed his passion for cooking. Starting from the age of 12, Chef Arnaud instantly fell in love with cooking and ultimately this is where his culinary journey began. His journey has brought him to work in some of the most esteemed kitchens and with some renowned culinary talents globally, including Marc Veyrat, Jacques Lameloise and Jean Francois Piège at Hôtel de Crillon.

“During my 25 years in the industry, I have always been known for my classic French cuisine, using only French ingredients. After my travels and having spent time in Asia, the exciting cultural diversity opened up my senses to reroute my culinary journey. In Maison Dunand, I would like to introduce you to something more personal; a cuisine inspired from my travels around the globe and the combination of 2 memorable regions in France; Savoie and Brittany."
Born in Lyon, Chef Gaetan draws inspiration from his French roots, honouring traditional techniques while embracing Southeast Asian influences. In collaboration with Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud from the Savoie region, this event offers a unique opportunity to experience two French chefs blending classic techniques with Southeast Asian culinary traditions.

“This collaboration is a celebration of our shared French heritage,” says Chef Gaetan. “It’s an honour to work with Chef Arnaud to present a menu that reflects the evolution of French cuisine in a global context.”
