Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali is set to host Katha Bercerita, a literary talk session that brings together storytelling, personal reflection and meaningful conversation in an intimate setting. Designed as a relaxed afternoon gathering, the event invites guests to slow down, listen and reconnect with the power of stories at the resort’s Katha Lobby Lounge.
Scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m (Bali time), the event offers a refreshing alternative to conventional book discussions. Rather than a formal seminar, Katha Bercerita is conceived as an open and approachable dialogue, where audiences are encouraged to engage with ideas, share perspectives and explore how stories often mirror real-life experiences.
The session will feature Valiant Budi, widely known as Vabyo, the author behind the novel Tukar Takdir. Recognized for his reflective and emotionally grounded storytelling, Vabyo has built a strong connection with readers through narratives that explore life’s turning points, personal choices and the search for meaning. His writing resonates particularly with young readers navigating change and self-discovery.
Tukar Takdir gained wider attention following its adaptation into film starring Indonesia famous actor Nicholas Saputra, marking an important milestone in the journey of the story from written page to visual storytelling. During the discussion, Vabyo is expected to share insights into the creative process behind the novel, the personal experiences that inspired it and the challenges of translating deeply personal ideas into stories that speak to a broader audience.
The conversation will be moderated by Gustra Adnyana, whose conversational approach aims to create a warm and engaging atmosphere. Instead of a one-directional talk, the session encourages dialogue, allowing participants to feel part of the storytelling experience rather than simply observers.
