Indulging in Culinary Fusion of BK Village’s Hiiragi Restaurant

During our memorable 3 days 2 nights stay at BK Village Umalas, we found ourselves in the heart of a culinary haven that seamlessly merged two distinct culinary worlds - Japanese and Peruvian. The enchanting Hiiragi Restaurant, nestled within the lush embrace of the boutique village’s compound, promised an extraordinary gastronomic adventure that left an indelible mark on our palates and memories. Here we compile our delightful culinary journey at the eclectic restaurant.

Indulging in Culinary Fusion of BK Village’s Hiiragi Restaurant

Day 1: A Welcome Dinner With 'Nikkei' Delight

Upon stepping into Hiiragi on our first day of stay, we were instantly enveloped in an ambiance of innovation and delight. The restaurant's open air interior exuded a refined charm, and every detail, from the dimmed lighting, wooden-based materials to the intimate ambiance, spoke of the exquisite experience awaiting us. The menu, a masterful marriage of fresh, local ingredients and culinary expertise, promised an exploration of flavors that beckoned us to dive in. The first taste of Hiiragi's Japanese-Peruvian 'Nikkei' cuisine was a revelation.

Hiiragi Interior

The Tempura Ball, a creamy and savory appetizer, set the tone for what was to come. Each bite was an artful blend of textures and flavors, a dance of mozzarella cheese, crab stick, and fresh milk. Next, the Nigiri Combination graced our table, a symphony of seven distinct Nigiri creations on one plate. From the Tuna Burn to the White Fish Burn, each morsel was adorned with opulent toppings like black truffle and gold leaves, elevating the experience to an unparalleled level of decadence.

The Tiradito Salmon followed suit, a testament to Hiiragi's mastery in fusing culinary traditions. The cured slice of salmon, drizzled with nikkei and aji amarillo sauces, danced on our tongues, a celebration of flavors both bold and delicate. And then came the Salmon Hawaiian roll - a fusion of sushi rice, crab stick, ebi tempura, avocado, and cheese, crowned with salmon burn and a dash of zest. It was a roll that transcended boundaries, delivering an explosion of taste and texture.

Day 1 Dinner Hiiragi

Our culinary journey took a sweet turn with the Yuzu Tiramisu, a harmonious blend of sweet and citrusy notes, that cleansed our palates and left us ready for the next course. The cocktails, the Banana Daiquiri and Green Sage, perfectly complemented the dishes, adding a touch of sophistication to the evening.

Day 2: Symphony of Flavors Continues

As the sun greeted us on our second day, we embarked on a day filled with promise, knowing that Hiiragi would weave its magic through each dining occasion. Breakfast beckoned, and we were greeted with an a la carte selection that left us spoiled for choice. The French Toast, adorned with berry compote and pure honey, was a symphony of flavors, a perfect start to the day.

Hiiragi Breakfast Day 2

Lunch proved to be a delightful continuation of our culinary journey. The succulent Pork Ribs, marinated to perfection, left us craving more. The Prawn Salad burst with freshness, each bite a celebration of vibrant ingredients. The Vietnam-inspired Summer Roll was a refreshing medley of textures, transporting us to the bustling streets of Vietnam. And then came the authentic Indonesian Gado Gado, a harmonious fusion of vegetables and flavors, paying homage to the rich culinary heritage of Indonesia.

Hiiragi Day 2 Lunch

The crescendo of lunch was reached with the Creme Brule and Matcha Cheesecake. The crackling caramelized top of the Creme Brule gave way to a creamy interior, while the Matcha Cheesecake offered a delicate balance of earthy matcha and velvety cheesecake, a fitting end to a satisfying midday meal.

Hiiragi Day 2 Dinner

Our second day's dinner at Hiiragi marks another celebration of Japanese-induced dishes. The Nori Crispy appetizer, the signature Red and Black California rolls, and the Chirashi Don were a testament to the precision and dedication embedded in each creation. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the carefully crafted fresh juices - the Dragon and Mango Honey - added a revitalizing touch to the experience.

Day 3: A Farewell with Flavorful Memories

As our final day dawned, a tinge of nostalgia colored our anticipation for the final dining experience at Hiiragi. Another breakfast awaited us, and while the menu remained the same, the quality and taste continued to impress. The French Toast was as divine as we remembered, each bite a nostalgic nod to the mornings before. The Egg Special, crafted with precision and flair, provided a savory start to the day. The fresh homemade salad, a burst of vitality, and the accompanying bucket of toast bread with homemade butter were a comforting touch.

Hiiragi Day 3 Breakfast

Our glasses were filled with the freshest orange juice and aromatic coffee, an energizing duo that served as the perfect companions for bidding our farewells to BK Village and the culinary haven that was Hiiragi restaurant.
