ARTOTEL Yogyakarta is presenting an art exhibition in collaboration with an artist from Jakarta, Cynthia Atmadjaja. ntitled "A Soul Journey: Eternal Sky", this art exhibition officially opened on June 21 2024 at ARTSPACE, lobby floor of ARTOTEL Yogyakarta.
The solo exhibition by Cynthia Atmadjaja invites the audience to soar into the sky. The work that Cynthia is exhibiting this time reflects her spiritual evolution with the experiments she carried out through watercolor, acrylic and oil paint on canvas. Each stroke on the canvas depicts his journey in the vastness of the sky.
The painting that Cynthia is exhibiting this time has a unique nuance where the colors she paints depict changes in the sky from time to time as a form of a reminder that like the sky, humans will experience changes in the processes in their lives. In her work, Cynthia also uses objects in the sky and sea such as the sun, ships, lighthouses and waves. Everything that Cynthia put into her painting is a form of expression and reflection of her view when looking at the vastness of the sky. Not only that, Cynthia also tried to say that this exhibition is a form of reminder that after the process in life that has been passed, darkness and gloom will turn into light. The strong colors of the sky in Cynthia's work here are also paradoxical in depicting self-knowledge in increasing Self-Esteem.
This is the second time Cynthia has held a solo exhibition after previously holding her solo exhibition at ARTOTEL Casa Kuningan Jakarta which invited viewers to explore the depths of the sea. Cynthia wants to invite visitors to reflect on the works displayed at ARTSPACE ARTOTEL Yogyakarta.
