The year 2022 was a breakthrough indeed for the tourism industry and the F&B scene in Bali. We see many new businesses flourishing and also the old players returning after a two-year hiatus.
We were spoiled visually and our taste buds were tickled to the max! We hope some of you have visited these places and agree.
Here is our pick for the best new tables opening (and reopening) in 2022:
Mozaic - Ubud
Following closure for 11 months linked to the global pandemic, Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomique reopens on 15 December 2022. The enforced year-long lay-off allowed in-depth reflections examining past achievements, including the many laurels won by founder and head-chef Chris Salans and the Mozaic Team at a restaurant widely considered Bali's best fine-dining venue for the past two decades.
Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomique is a proud member of Les Grandes Tables du Monde (The Best Tables of the World) making it the best restaurant in Ubud for fine dining and private, romantic dining experiences. Led by Michelin-star restaurant-trained chef Chris Salans partnered with Blake Thornley, Mozaic takes diners on a culinary journey of flavors deeply rooted in Balinese culture. READ MORE

There is not a single dish on the menu that we didn’t enjoy, and it’s difficult for us to pick a favorite. Try their “Feed Me” menu made to be shared with a group of up to 6 people. The atmosphere is equally charming with the bar located outside the main dining area, where you can catch a glimpse of Bali’s famous sunset to the music of the 80s played from the house’s vinyl collection.
