In collaboration with Samsara Living Museum, The Meru Sanur proudly presents a unique spiritual wellness activation titled “Melukat & Pratiti.” Set within the sacred grounds of Hotel Temple, Pura Manik Tirta Sari, which is located in Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus Kesehatan – The Sanur, this immersive experience offers guests a deep dive into Balinese spirituality and traditional rituals, fostering harmony of the body, mind, and soul.
The event will be held on 12 October 2024, involving guests in a holistic journey through Balinese culture. It begins with a hand-washing procession and the donning of traditional Balinese attire. Before the main ceremony, guests will engage in Segehan, a ritual of spiritual cleansing that prepares them for a deeper experience ahead.
As part of this enriching wellness journey, guests will be treated by healthy welcoming drink “loloh”, a traditional Balinese herbal medicine, while enjoying the rhythmic music of ngoncang, a harmonious melody created by village women pounding rice in joyful unison. This unique composition provides a backdrop to the spiritual setting, transporting guests into the heart of Balinese village life.
The experience will continue at the Bale Pesandekan, where guests will listen to an insightful introduction of Balinese spirituality, cultural beliefs, and water blessings. The Meru Sanur allows guests have the opportunity to craft offerings in preparation for melukat or water blessing procession. This sacred purification ritual aims to cleanse the body, mind, and soul, offering renewal and balance.
After melukat ceremony, guests will be drawn into a enjoy a peaceful interlude, indulging in traditional cakes jaje laklak. To cease this spiritual wellness journey, guests will engage in a Pratiti Reading, a personalized session based on the ancient Balinese calendar. Aligned with the spiritual journey, guests gain deeper insights into their life’s journey and have the opportunity to seek consultations on personal matters.
