In today’s fast-moving world, it can feel all too easy to lose touch with ourselves. This October, Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, in partnership with the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival (UWRF) and Shelf Therapy, invites readers, travellers, creatives, and curious minds of all ages to gather for an intimate morning of reflection, storytelling, and book discussion at Katha Bercerita: Finding Yourself in the Chaos of Adult Life with Nago Tejena.
Taking place on Sunday, 5 October 2025, from 10:00 to 11:30 WITA, the event is part of the Road to UWRF Book Club series, designed to bring the spirit of literature and thoughtful conversation beyond Ubud and into unique spaces across Bali. Set against the warm and inviting ambiance of the resort’s Katha Lobby Lounge & Library, participants will be guided into a journey of self-discovery through words, ideas, and open dialogue.
At the heart of the discussion is Nago Tejena, psychologist and celebrated author of Aku yang Sudah Lama Hilang. Through his book, Nago extends a gentle hand to anyone who has ever felt adrift in adulthood, encouraging us to tune in to our thoughts and emotions, nurture a healthier relationship with ourselves, and make choices that reflect who we truly are. The session will be hosted by Laksmi Mutiara, a digital creator and passionate literacy advocate known in the online community as a Bookstagrammer. With her thoughtful presence and love for books, Laksmi will lead the dialogue in a way that feels both engaging and welcoming, creating a safe space for participants to connect, reflect, and share their own perspectives.
