The Brazilian Carnival

The Brazilian Carnival is a synthesis of European, indigenous and Afro-Brazilian cultural influences, each group playing an important role in the evolution of Brazil’s culture and musical infrastructure. Community, Nature and Spirituality are the core of Afro-Brazilian music. The same is true in Ubud: Tri Hita Karana is the essence of Balinese philosophy: Harmony between Man and the Gods, Harmony between Man and Nature, Harmony between Man and Man: Community, Nature and Spirituality.

Carnival Ubud’s purpose is to introduce Afro-Brazilian Music to Bali, and a vehicle for the exchange of culture, ideas and food: encompassing people from both local and global audiences. Embracing Balinese Kindness, we focus on social movements: helping orphans and underprivileged children, contributing to local elementary schools, building infrastructure in local communities and Temples.

Carnival is the world’s biggest event celebrated by millions worldwide.
