In celebration of Nyepi Day in March, ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali is once again offering a staycation package themed The Sacred Silence of Nyepi.
Nyepi Day, which falls once a year, is a Hindu holiday in Bali, marking the Balinese New Year according to the Balinese calendar. For those who celebrate it, Nyepi is a moment to fast, meditate, and calm the mind from daily routines. On this holy day, all activities are stopped for 24 hours, including the use of electricity and various other forms of activity. Bali becomes quiet, providing space for self-reflection and harmony with nature. On the night before Nyepi Day, the Balinese people hold Ogoh-Ogoh parades in various part of the island. Ogoh-Ogoh are statues depicting evil spirits, made of bamboo and natural materials. These statues symbolize human vices and negative energy. After the parade, the Ogoh-Ogoh are burned as a symbol of purification and the disappearance of evil spirits, welcoming the Çaka New Year with a clean heart.
The Sacred Silence of Nyepi is a special Nyepi Day package offered by ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali and is available for a limited time from March 18–20, 2026. This package includes a 3-day, 2-night stay at a price of IDR 4,350,000 net per room, valid for two people.
