At Aloft Bali Kuta at Beachwalk, sustainability and creativity come together in a glass with the introduction of Wira No. 18, a locally inspired, zero-waste cocktail crafted to surprise and inspire.
The creation is rooted in a simple yet powerful idea, a cocktail that gives back to the planet. Drawing from a lifelong love of nangka (jackfruit), the Bar team transforms leftover overripe jackfruit from breakfast service into a vibrant, house-made cordial using sous-vide technique.
The jackfruit flesh becomes crispy chips for garnish, while the seeds are boiled, spiced, and served as a delightful bar snack, ensuring that nothing goes to waste.
Even broken white chocolate amenities are given a second life, repurposed into a rich, creamy liqueur that adds depth to the cocktail. Blended with 45ml of Chivas Regal 18, the creation offers a fruity, sweet, and perfectly balanced flavor profile, topped with homemade jackfruit chips for the final touch.
"At Aloft Bali Kuta, nothing goes to waste. It’s more than just a cocktail, it’s our way of honoring Bali’s local ingredients and showing that small actions can lead to meaningful change," says Wira, Head Bartender at Aloft Bali Kuta at Beachwalk.
The name “Wira” meaning "hero" in Indonesian reflects the spirit of innovation and conscious craftsmanship behind this signature cocktail. It is also a tribute to Wira, the talented bartender who crafted this unique creation. “No. 18” celebrates the refined character of Chivas Regal 18, bringing richness and balance to the experience.
Wira No. 18 is available throughout May 2025 at W XYZ Bar, DEPOT Restaurant, and In-Room Dining at Aloft Bali Kuta at Beachwalk, priced at IDR 135,000++ per glass.
