Driven by a passion for delivering an authentic farm-to-table dining experience, Padma Resort Ubud is proud to announce its latest collaboration with Takumi. This exclusive event, titled 'Japan in Bali,' will take place on Thursday, 22 August 2024, offering guests an exquisite four-course dinner that masterfully blends Japanese and Balinese flavours.
The menu features a selection of standout dishes including Beef Sumiyaki, Sapi Timbungan, Sate Languan, and Kamo Nanban. Each course has been thoughtfully paired with specially crafted cocktails from Segno, such as Manis in Japan and Anggur Hojicha, ensuring a dining experience that is both harmonious and unforgettable.
A key highlight of the event is the use of fresh ingredients, with some of the produce handpicked from Padma Resort Ubud’s own Agroforestry. This commitment to locally sourced, high-quality ingredients guarantees that each dish bursts with freshness and flavour.
Chef Daijiro from Takumi expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, "We are delighted to be part of this unique dining experience. My personal favourite is the Kamo Nanban, where we pair local duck with its bone to create a soothing clear soup with a distinct Japanese taste." Chef Rikki from Padma Resort Ubud added, "While this concept is not entirely new to Padma Resort Ubud, we are thrilled to elevate it into a more refined dining experience."
Kensho from Segno also shared his enthusiasm, saying, "I always enjoy crafting new cocktails, especially when they complement such delicious dishes. I’ve put a lot of thought into this collaboration and hope that everyone will appreciate how the cocktails enhance the overall dining experience."
Open to the public for IDR 918,000+/person for the whole experience and IDR 568,000+/person (food only) this event will be located at The Puhu Restaurant from 6.30 PM to 9.30 PM with breathtaking views of the Payangan highlands, adding a scenic backdrop to the evening’s festivities.
