COMO Uma Ubud introduces a new edition of its immersive cultural programme, COMO Journey: Through Her Eyes — a 31-day exploration of creativity, feminine power, and self-expression, anchored in the tranquil heart of Ubud. This signature event invites guests to connect deeply with the works and worlds of four extraordinary Balinese women artists — Ayu Sri Rejeki, Eni Astriani, Kartika Sudibia, and Kendisan — through thoughtful conversation, immersive exhibition, and hands-on workshops designed for reflection and reconnection.
"This exhibition reflects our commitment to creating meaningful cultural connections for our guests," says Gede Suteja, General Manager of COMO Uma Ubud. "Ubud has long been a sanctuary for the arts, and we are proud to offer a platform that amplifies the voices of women artists in such a heartfelt and inspiring way."
Opening Night: COMO Conversation — The Art of Becoming
The journey opens with a signature COMO Conversation at Kemiri Restaurant on December 1st 2025 at 3.00pm, COMO Uma Ubud’s open-air dining venue nestled beside a natural stream and shaded by banyan trees. Moderated by a local curator, this panel discussion brings together the four featured artists to explore how art becomes a lifeline — a personal and cultural narrative woven through memory, identity, and transformation. Topics include emotional vulnerability, feminine perspective, symbolism in practice, and creative renewal. The evening concludes with a private preview of the art exhibition and curated canapés. This event is priced at IDR 250,000++ per person inclusive of canapes and welcome drink.
A Week of Creation: Daily Art Workshops
Across Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday in December, guests are invited to take part in daily art workshops led by the artists. These intimate, two-hour sessions include:
-Sculpting with Ayu Sri Rejeki
-Naïve Painting with Kartika Sudibia
-Charcoal Drawing with Kendisan
-Canvas Bag Painting with Eni Astriani
Each session encourages emotional honesty and personal expression, making space for self-discovery through tactile, visual, and symbolic art forms. Workshops are open to all levels and continue through the end of December, available to both event guests and COMO Uma Ubud in-house guests at IDR 600,000++ per person per session.
"Art is a language of truth and transformation," shares Kartika Sudibia, one of the featured artists. "This journey is not just about showcasing our work — it’s about sharing who we are, and inviting others to do the same through creativity."
The Exhibition: Through Her Eyes
Displayed throughout the Yoga Studio and Uma Bar, the exhibition showcases selected works by each artist — from emotionally resonant sculptures to symbolic and abstract paintings. These pieces offer intimate insights into the artists’ inner landscapes and the power of storytelling through form, texture, and colour. Guests are encouraged to spend time with each work, allowing space for quiet reflection and connection. All artworks are available for purchase — offering the rare opportunity to take home a piece of this transformative experience.

Meet the Artists
Ayu Sri Rejeki
Ayu discovered sculpture during the stillness of the pandemic. Her emotionally charged forms reflect love, grief, intimacy, and transformation — each one a diary entry in clay.
Eni Astriani
From Jembrana, Bali, Eni paints symbolic owl figures infused with Balinese spiritualism. Her use of colour and anthropomorphism reflects both playfulness and personal depth.
Kartika Sudibia
Originally trained in chemical engineering, Kartika shifted paths to explore the feminine spirit through art. Her work combines personal empowerment with spiritual and emotional storytelling.
Kendisan
A multidisciplinary artist with a background in film and writing, Kendisan’s abstract works explore memory, the body, and emotional inheritance — often blending narrative and form in vibrant layers.
Continuing the Journey
To extend the experience beyond the opening weekend, the exhibition and a curated selection of workshops will continue until the end of December 2025. In-house guests can join these ongoing sessions as part of their COMO Uma Ubud retreat — engaging creativity as a path to stillness, renewal, and cultural immersion.
