
Apéritif hosted a sold-out charity dinner for 70 guests, presented in collaboration with Locavore NXT and Syrco BASÈ, in support of the Sumba Hospitality Foundation. It was an evening where fine dining met meaningful purpose, led by talented Sumbanese chefs cooking together in a celebration of heritage, gratitude, and community.

Guests enjoyed curated canapés, followed by a thoughtfully crafted six-course
menu:

Red Snapper – Aged Fish, Radish, Pacco

Spring Chicken – Rumpu Rampe, Coconut Sauce, Liver

Words That Inspired the Evening
Guests were moved by a heartfelt speech from Inge De Lathauwer, visionary founder of the Sumba Hospitality Foundation, sharing her mission to empower Sumba’s youth through education and sustainability. The collaborating chefs from Apéritif, Locavore NXT, and Syrco BASÈ also shared inspiring messages of unity, culture, and giving back.

A Collective Act of Giving
Through dinner contributions, raffle tickets, and the silent auction, the event raised IDR 197,940,000, with 100% of proceeds donated to the Sumba Hospitality Foundation. The evening concluded at Pinstripe Bar, where guests toasted to Sumba’s enduring spirit.
