Lilloy Lindenberg, Norway’s Wild Little Island Escape

Just 40 minutes from Bergen, LILLØY LINDENBERG offers an island playground where Norway's rugged beauty meets refined design. Hosting up to 10 guests between a spacious main house and a snug annex, this retreat has been given new life by Bergen's own design maestros, Vera & Kyte. At LILLØY LINDENBERG serenity and adventure converge, with nature front and center.

Guests can tailor their stay by booking individual rooms to connect with fellow travellers or reserving the entire island for complete privacy. Food enthusiasts are invited to come together for a communal feast, with the option to extend the experience into an overnight stay.

Conscious living and sustainability are integral to LILLØY’s ethos, reflecting the core values of the LINDENBERG GROUP. A flora-focused sanctuary, the island draws ingredients from its own underwater seaweed farm. The kitchen mirrors the surrounding wilderness, crafting dishes that reflect and respect the local landscape. Handmade ceramics, local glassware, and Nordic touches further enhance the experience, celebrating Scandinavian craftsmanship.

Chef Antje de Vries curates plant-based dishes inspired by the seasons. For those preferring a more hands-on experience, the little Island shop provides locally sourced ingredients selected by her. Activities include kayaking at dawn, fireside gatherings under the stars, and sauna sessions designed to immerse guests in the rhythms of Norwegian island life.

Beyond hospitality, LILLØY LINDENBERG takes on a new dimension with the Artist Residency. This program invites artists to step away from the distractions of daily life and immerse themselves in the raw beauty of the island. Here, nature becomes both a collaborator and a source of inspiration, encouraging participants to experiment freely and explore new ideas.

The focus is on music, with artists creating experimental recordings that are shaped by the sounds of the island itself. Free from genre expectations or set rules, the residency fosters a playful and open atmosphere where anything can happen. It’s not just about producing art—it’s about embracing the unknown, finding new perspectives, and discovering a sense of connection with both the environment and fellow participants.

LILLØY LINDENBERG stands as a tribute to Norway’s nature and everything that comes with it. Open and ready for bookings starting February 2025.
