COMO Castello del Nero wedding

In the heart of Tuscany, where time seems to pause and the hills stretch like brushstrokes on a Renaissance painting, you’ll find COMO Castello Del Nero, a place where love stories are not only celebrated but etched into history. COMO Castello Del Nero is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves in the storied Chianti region. It's a mere short drive from Florence, Siena, and the medieval towers of San Gimignano. Yet it feels a world away—tucked into the hills, where every sunset feels like it was painted just for you.

Once the noble residence of the Florentine Del Nero family, this 740-acre estate is now a reimagined haven of elegance and enchantment. With interiors curated by Italian designer Paola Navone, and a private chapel nestled within, this is more than a venue—it’s a setting made for memories that last a lifetime. The fairytale land features 10 romantic venues, three gourmet restaurants, along with 50 rooms and suites of historic charm. Best part is?  This Tuscan dream is exclusively yours.

Exchange vows in the quiet beauty of the chapel or have the vineyards as your witness; every celebration here feels like a dream woven into the land. Let your story begin here, under a sky that has seen centuries of love unfold.

Venues for every chapter of your celebration

Each space at Castello Del Nero feels touched by magic, steeped in history and ready to host your most unforgettable moments.

Garden Terrace

This incredibly romantic venue, for 100 standing guests and 80 seated, overlooks the estate's ancient olive groves  and flourishing vineyards. Adjacent to La Torre restaurant, this is the perfect summer venue for outside weddings.

COMO Terrace Suite

The outside space of the COMO Terrace Suite is a memorable venue for an intimate wedding (10 guests only) with white and red terracotta floor tiles, 180-degree views of the countryside as well as the lakes of the estate.

Italian Gardens

The atmospheric space accommodates 120 guests, who will be surrounded by white Florentine roses (best in May). The central focus is a grand, 400-year old cedar tree – a symbol known throughout art and literature to signify power and longevity.

La Taverna

The winter restaurant occupies the castle’s 900-year-old original kitchen – a room with a history of serving magnificent feasts. Featuring a rustic fireplace and exposed brick walls, La Taverna has a warm glow well-suited to Tuscany’s cooler months for 30 to 50 of your loved ones.

La Torre

The hotel’s Michelin-starred Italian restaurant occupies the former stables of Castello Del Nero, with cool grey interiors and an open fireplace ideal for 80 seated and 100 standing. Spill out onto the terrace after the reception, overlooking the verdant landscape and spectacular sunsets of Chianti.

Panoramic Terrace

For 120, you can opt for the rooftop of COMO Shambhala Retreat that has sweeping views of the castle lawns,  vineyards, and olive groves.

Pavilion

Pavilion restaurant overlooks the hills, vineyards, and olive groves which make Tuscany one of the most romantic wedding venues in the world. Located next to the pool area, this al fresco space is well-suited to light summer receptions of 100-120 guests.

Sala delle Volte

Continue the party in this romantic venue perfect for 100 guests standing and 60 seated with vaulted ceilings – reached by ascending a grand stone staircase – where music can be played past midnight.

Sala Gran Camino

The castle’s original living room is full of natural daylight, with a traditional stone fireplace that we light in the cooler months. It’s a beautiful, uplifting ceremony space with a vast hearth, frescoed walls, soft sofas, and windows that open onto views of the Chianti hills. This can accommodate 40 to 60 of your loved ones.

Sala Piccolo Camino

Those yearning for an intimate ceremony  of 10-20 guests, the cosy living area of the estate's ground floor suite has late eighteenth-century and Pompeii-style frescoes, an original fireplace and plenty of natural light.

The San Michele Chapel

The original Del Nero family chapel – dedicated to the saints of San Michele and San Filippo Neri – has been restored to its late  eighteenth-century splendour for 50 seated guests. Still consecrated, the chapel exudes historical whimsy, with original frescoes on the wall and a striking oil painting of Saint Michael.

Wine Cellar

With 14 seated and 20 standing, the estate's stone wine cellar normally hosts wine and olive oil tastings here. This is an ideal venue for informal receptions given that it's situated in the original lower level of the castle, at the base of an ancient stairway.
