Locavore, the award-winning restaurant in Ubud, Bali, will close its doors this summer and transform into a new project called LVE NXT, which will be located just outside of Ubud in a natural setting. The transformation is inspired by Locavore chef owners Eelke Plasmeijer and Ray Adriansyah's realization that they needed to take action to turn their beliefs into something real.

NXT will be more than just a restaurant; it will be a place where guests can join Locavore on a journey of culinary revolution. The new project will take the soul of Locavore, including its local-ingredients-only philosophy, creative dining experience, food research, and experimentation, to a new level.
Locavore NXT will open its doors to the public in summer 2023, and more information about the opening date and reservations will be announced in the coming months. Before the closure of Locavore, guests will receive a take-home package at the end of their meal with 'Nendo Dango' or 'seed bombs,' which will encourage them to become guerrilla gardeners and help rewild urban wastelands.
Locavore Group, which was founded by chefs Eelke Plasmeijer and Ray Adriansyah in 2013, is known for using local produce to create ever-changing menus of creative modern cuisine. Locavore has been rated the most sustainable restaurant in Asia and is the only Indonesian restaurant to consistently rank on Asia's '50 Best' list. In addition to Locavore, the group has produced other Indonesian restaurants such as Nusantara, casual concept Locavore To Go, butcher's shop Local Parts, and craft cocktail bars Club Soda and Night Rooster.
