On Friday, 12 July 2025, What’s New Bali joined an inspiring celebration at SAKA Museum, AYANA Estate, for the official launch of four new exhibitions under the event titled “Lila Cita Suka Ning Manah”—a Balinese phrase meaning "Sincere, Joyful Heart." The name perfectly reflects the spirit of the museum and the carefully curated showcase that honors Bali’s most sacred tradition: Nyepi.
The museum’s four new exhibitions immerse visitors in different facets of Balinese spiritual and daily life.

The museum’s new exhibitions immerse visitors in different facets of Balinese spiritual and daily life. Panca Maha Bhuta displays symbolic art pieces rooted in the five great elements of Balinese cosmology. The Kesanga Procession brings ritual to life through a sculpted relief wall. On the museum’s top floor, the Dome offers a 360-degree cinematic experience of the sacred silence of Nyepi over 24 hours, while the Subak Interactive exhibit invites guests to engage in Bali’s iconic irrigation system through cutting-edge touchscreens, including playful activities like crafting a canang sari offering.

A formal welcome was led by several distinguished figures, including SAKA Museum Director Dr. Judith E. Bosnak, AYANA General Manager Giordano Faggioli, museum visionary and principal Rudy Suliawan, and Bali’s Vice Governor I Nyoman Giri Prasta. Their speeches acknowledged SAKA Museum’s vital role in preserving and sharing the depth of Balinese philosophy and ritual with the world, especially highlighting the often-overlooked beauty and environmental impact of Nyepi.
The launch concluded with a refined standing buffet dinner in the museum's outdoor garden, as guests enjoyed the sounds of a live Tabuh Welu Geswuri (traditional percussion) performance and a contemporary rendition of Baris Mapatra Yudha—a bold dance that blends classical bebarisan energy with modern expression. With perfect weather and high-profile attendees, the event was a memorable tribute to Bali’s living heritage.
