It Was Henshin Celebrating Nine Years Above the City
On the evening of 25 July, fireworks illuminated the skyline while a striking LED display transformed the façade of Gama Tower, prompting widespread speculation across social media. Many assumed it was a private celebration or a special event hosted by a guest. In reality, the city had become part of a much larger celebration—the 9th anniversary of Henshin, Jakarta's highest Nikkei restaurant and rooftop bar.
The celebration marked the finale of House of Temptation, Henshin's four-day anniversary experience that explored the worlds of gastronomy, cocktails, music, and nightlife. The final evening brought together guests for a rooftop celebration featuring performances by DJ T-Sha and DJ Miss Lee, signature cocktails, and a spectacular fireworks display synchronized with a custom LED installation across Gama Tower. Visible from various parts of the city, the moment transformed Jakarta's skyline into the backdrop of Henshin's ninth anniversary, creating one of the most talked-about nightlife moments of the weekend.
For nearly a decade, Henshin has continued to redefine rooftop dining in Jakarta through its distinctive Nikkei cuisine, vibrant bar culture, and panoramic setting high above the city. The anniversary celebration was conceived not simply as a milestone for the restaurant, but as a tribute to the guests, partners, and community who have been part of its journey over the past nine years. By bringing the celebration beyond its walls and into the city's skyline, Henshin invited Jakarta itself to become part of the occasion.
