Award-winning bars and mixologists from Singapore serve up unique
cocktail experiences exclusively at JW Marriott Surabaya
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya are set to give the Indonesian audience a flavor of Singapore’s vibrant cocktail scene with this first-ever collaboration through a bar activation event titled “Raising The Bar”. A total of six award-winning bars from Singapore will be featured from July to December 2023, with each bar taking center-stage every month to present their imaginative and creative cocktail creations. To commemorate this partnership, a bespoke edible chocolate art piece (measuring 240cm x 200cm x 30 cm) by renowned Singaporean Chef Artist Janice Wong from Janice Wong Pure Imagination titled ‘Day & Night, Pulses of Singapore’, will also be unveiled during the event launch. Taking inspiration from the vibrancy of Singapore’s impressive nightlife using the bold colourful red, purple and blue, the artwork is garnishes with a rainfall of orchids, Singapore’s national flower. A specially curated menu by JW Marriott Surabaya with pairing of cocktails from the bars and dessert by Chef Artist Janice Wong will be available at Uppercut Steakhouse from 28 July 2023 until December 2023 (Please refer to Annex B for the menu).

Singapore is home to an incredibly diverse range of dining, retail, nightlife and entertainment offerings, which appeal to many travelers from Indonesia. At the recent Asia’s 50 Best Bars (A50BB) 2023, Singapore had an impressive showing with 11 Singapore vars on the list and this was led by Jigger and Pony (No.2), which maintained its reign as Singapore’s best bar.
