W Bali – Seminyak is delighted to announce the appointment of Laurens Kritzinger as General Manager, effective 11 May 2026. In his new role, Laurens will lead the dynamic team at the iconic Seminyak resort, continuing to elevate W's legacy of bold, high-energy luxury and innovative guest experiences in Bali.
Originally hailing from South Africa, Laurens brings a remarkable career spanning ultra-luxury resorts and global brands, paired with a strongly people-centric leadership approach. His leadership journey began as a General Manager in the exclusive luxury safari world of Southern and East Africa, before he stepped into the vibrant world of W as Hotel Manager at W Maldives.
In 2018, Laurens brought his expertise to Indonesia at Natra Bintan, a Tribute Portfolio Resort. He later served as General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak, where his exceptional leadership earned him the prestigious title of Marriott Courtyard Global Diamond General Manager of the Year in 2022, recognizing his excellence in guest experience, revenue, and operations. Prior to joining W Bali - Seminyak, Laurens most recently led The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa as General Manager.
A passionate hospitality professional, Laurens thrives on the daily motivation of working in such an engaging industry and connecting with guests from around the globe. Continuously expanding his expertise to drive purposeful excellence, he recently completed a Hotel Real Estate and Asset Management Certificate from Cornell University.

Embracing a highly active and balanced lifestyle, Laurens loves to cook, train in CrossFit, travel to new destinations, and discover gastronomy and hidden speakeasy bars in his personal time. These diverse passions perfectly complement his engaging and dynamic approach to luxury hospitality.
