Say it with chocolate: Made in Bali's Best Chocolates

February is the month of love and what better way to express your love than with chocolates?

Since chocolates produce the happy hormone, here is a list of Bali’s very own chocolate products that we love!

Fun fact: Chocolate can be enjoyed as part of a balanced, heart-healthy diet and lifestyle

KRAKAOA

Krakakoa (kra-ka-ko-a) has probably one of the most famous chocolate products, this award-winning “farmer-to-bar” (vertically integrated) company was created in 2013 by Sabrina Mustopo. The company’s objective is to enhance the lives of Indonesian cocoa farmers and ensure the sector’s long-term viability.

Each Krakakoa bar is meticulously hand-wrapped and packaged in bright colors and a unique design. Their products are diverse and can easily be found in big-chain supermarkets or you can also purchase them online. Unfortunately, their shops in Seminyak and Ubud have closed, otherwise, you could have witnessed their chocolate-making process, sipping on their Frozen Hot Chocolate drink, or sampled each and every one of their flavors before buying to enjoy at home.

UBUD RAW

Ubud Raw started off in 2014 when its founder, Rolf Gibbs, was experimenting with raw chocolates. Through a simple combination of cacao and coconut, its founder created the creamiest and most delicious chocolate. Just with a small investment and a logo, Ubud Raw has since created the finest quality raw chocolate.

We are intrigued with its most interesting product, Raw Organic Ceremonial Grade Cacao which can be used to perform rituals to connect with the self and the spirit, to relax or stimulate the body, to clear one’s mind, and heal stagnant emotions. You can find Ubud Raw in its two main stores in Sayan and Goutama in Ubud, but also in more than 30 partner outlets all over Bali.
