Bale Raos Restaurant
This restaurant building uses a Javanese joglo design, wrapped in carving in the style of the palace on its poles. Visitors were accompanied by the strains of Javanese gending, throughout the meal. One of the favorite dishes in this restaurant is Suwar-Suwir Duck with Kedondong sauce which is a favorite of Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX. Lombok Kethok, beef cooked with chili is also a dish sought by visitors of Bale Raos. As well as Wedang Secang or Javanese beer made of local spices and alcohol-free.
