As the year draws to a close, Plaza Ambarrukmo is once again presenting a series of festive Christmas and New Year celebrations with the "Santa's Secret Factory" Christmas Journey theme. Since mid-November 2025, visitors have been welcomed by a warm and surprising holiday atmosphere, from Santa's Secret Factory-themed decorations to various family-friendly activities throughout the mall. This series of activities is part of Plaza Ambarrukmo's commitment to providing a memorable holiday experience for the people of Yogyakarta and the surrounding area.
This year's Christmas highlights include the Giant Christmas Tree in the pedestrian lobby, an Advent Calendar program with various surprises for visitors, a Christmas-themed ambiance in the Uniqlo area and on the ground floor, and various Santa's Factory ornaments located throughout the mall, further enhancing the Christmas atmosphere at Plaza Ambarrukmo. The entire series of year-end events is designed to be a moment for all visitors to enjoy.
"Santa's Secret Factory" Event Series
1. Christmas Journey Unveiled
The official opening of the year-end celebrations will be marked by the Magical Santa Factory Lights Switch On, the Snow in the City attraction, the Voice of Christmas musical performance, and a Sweet Holiday Treats promotion of 50% off coffee and donuts in the pedestrian lobby area on November 29, 2025.
2. Christmas Journey
Four days of fun at the Christmas Journey event, December 18–21, 2025, will be held in the main atrium. Various exciting activities will include the "Santa's Factory Cabaret Show," the Sing-Off Competition, and the Little Stars Christmas Show. This year, Plaza Ambarrukmo will collaborate with Fox and Bunny to host various activities to add to the excitement, including the Joy Market, Mindful Parenting Talkshow, Family Read Aloud, Kids Fashion Show, Baby Crawling Competition, and Special Guest Star Quin Salman on December 21, 2025, at 3:30 PM WIB.
3. Late Night Celebration
Shopping is even more enjoyable with discounts of up to 50% across all Plaza Ambarrukmo tenants from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM WIB. Visitors also have the opportunity to win prizes and benefits through:
• Golden Hourly Surprise, with a minimum transaction of IDR 500,000, you'll receive an IDR 50,000 shopping voucher.
• Hourly Shopping Surprise with a minimum transaction of IDR 1,000,000, you'll receive 1 raffle point for a chance to win special prizes such as an Aerox motorcycle, gold jewelry, a Garmin watch, a JBL speaker, a smartphone, and many more, which will be drawn at 8:30 PM, 9:30 PM, and 10:30 PM WIB.

4. Advent Calendar
MyAmbarrukmo members who make a minimum transaction of IDR 300,000 have the opportunity to win various attractive prizes, including millions of rupiah in shopping vouchers, a vacuum cleaner, an air fryer, a cookware set, a Starbucks tumbler, a smart watch, and a Polygon bicycle, through the Advent Calendar program at Customer Service on the ground floor (terms and conditions apply). The draw will be held weekly via Instagram Live on @plazaambarrukmo. The program runs from December 1 to 25, 2025.
5. Meet & Greet Santa & Christmas Harmony
Santa Claus greets visitors in various areas of the mall, accompanied by a choir, saxophone, violin, and acoustic performances in front of Uniqlo. This event can be watched every weekend throughout December 2025.
6. Santa's Factory Parade
A parade of 10 Santas, accompanied by friends and Wonda Wondi, will tour the mall, bringing joy and direct interaction to all visitors on December 20 and 21, 2025.
7. Christmas Eve Celebration
The Christmas celebrations will come alive with the Le Jour De Santa show, featuring dance performances, a Santa & Wonda Wondi flash mob, and live acoustic music to warm the Christmas atmosphere from December 24 to 27, 2025.
CSR: Plaza Ambarrukmo Cares – December 18, 2025
As part of its social responsibility, Plaza Ambarrukmo is collaborating with Bumiku Lestari to process recycled waste and provide donations to orphanages. This program strengthens Plaza Ambarrukmo's commitment to the environment and community.
New Year's Eve Celebration 2026
New Year's Eve celebrations will be held lively at Ambarrukmo Square on December 30-31, 2025, with a series of entertainment including Modern Dance, Battle Dance, and a Dance Cover Competition. In addition, there will be a variety of other exciting activities, including a Brasswave Celebration, a DJ & Gamelan Performance, and a special appearance by Guest Star PERUNGGU on December 30, 2025. Equally exciting on that date will also be 30 Culinary Festival booths and a Spectacular fireworks show, to close out the year with a festive atmosphere.
