In support of local tourism and cultural development, MORA Group and MORAZEN Yogyakarta took part in two major events held in Kulon Progo on the same day: Tour de Menoreh and the opening of the Jogja Cultural Wellness Festival, which featured a Sunset Yoga session. These events were attended by Joko Mursito S.Sn., M.A., Head of the Kulon Progo Tourism Office; Hengky Tambayong, General Manager of MORAZEN Yogyakarta and Chief Business Development of MORA Group; and Fajar Basuki, Chief Operating Officer of MORA Group. The event was further enlivened by the presence of celebrity guest Luna Maya at Tour de Menoreh.
As a contribution to the Tour de Menoreh, MORAZEN Yogyakarta served as the official hotel partner and race pack pick-up location for participants, providing them with convenient access and comfort. MORA Group also joined the event by sending ten team members to participate in the cycling activity, with each member displaying the MORA Group flag on their bicycles as a symbol of the company’s support for local tourism development.
Following Tour de Menoreh, the event series continued with a Sunset Yoga session at Laguna Glagah, as part of the 2024 Jogja Cultural Wellness Festival. MORA Group contributed by donating 100 eco-friendly candles, which were released together at Glagah Lagoon as a symbol of the festival’s opening. MORAZEN Yogyakarta also awarded hotel stay vouchers to selected participants, showcasing its facilities as a luxurious and comfortable accommodation choice in Yogyakarta.

Chairperson of the Regional Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Gusti Kanjeng Ratu (GKR) Bendara, who attended the event’s opening along with an ethnic music performance by Gang Sadewa, explained that in Indonesia, Bali and its culture are known for high interest and awareness in wellness activities. Through the annual Jogja Cultural Wellness Festival program, we also hope that Yogyakarta will become an active region in promoting wellness-related activities.
