Archipelago Korean Street Food Festival - 60 Seconds to Seoul” Comes to Yogyakarta
Combining K-Food and K-Culture within the Archipelago Food Festival
Archipelago Hotels, the largest privately owned hotel management group in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, presented the culinary program “Archipelago Korean Street Food Festival - 60 Seconds to Seoul” in Yogyakarta on May 12, 2026. The program is part of the Archipelago Global Flavours Series, a culinary campaign showcasing a variety of authentic street food flavors from different countries, with Korea featured as the culinary destination for this edition.
The festival also marked the second offline event organized by Archipelago Hotels, delivering an immersive Korean street food experience through quick-serving dishes, authentic flavors, and interactive live cooking sessions inspired by the practical and dynamic culinary culture of Seoul.
“As part of the Archipelago Global Flavours Series, we continue to present ‘60 Seconds to Seoul’ through the Korean Street Food Festival at Royal Malioboro, Yogyakarta, in collaboration with ten other Archipelago Hotels properties in Yogyakarta and Solo. This culinary pop-up concept brings the vibrant and authentic flavors of Seoul’s street food culture to our guests, while reflecting our commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences and hospitality journey,” said John Flood, CEO of Archipelago Hotels.
Live Cooking Becomes the Main Attraction, Korean Street Food Festival Offers an Interactive Culinary Experience
This festival is inspired by the practical and fast-paced nature of street food in Seoul. All dishes are prepared in a short time through a live cooking concept, creating an interactive experience while becoming the main attraction for visitors.
The festival features a variety of popular Korean dishes, ranging from tteokbokki, Korean fried chicken, to Korean BBQ and kimchi-based dishes. In addition, visitors can also enjoy fusion menu variations such as Korean burgers, mozzarella corndogs, dakgangjeong, and kimchi fried rice, prepared directly by chefs from various units of Archipelago Hotels.
More than eight live cooking stalls participate in this festival, each presenting different specialty menus, from street snacks such as odeng, dakkochi, and twigim, to main dishes like galbitang, jjampong, and Korean grilled beef.
