The occasion was the official launch and cultural forum for “Ambarrukmo: Jatidiri dan Kebanggaan Negeri” (Ambarrukmo: Identity and Pride of the Nation). This landmark historical book weaves together centuries of collective memory and scattered historical fragments into a seamless, vivid chronicle.
Initiated by Ambarrukmo Group, this publication stands as a dedicated response to an iconic sanctuary situated at the heart of modern Yogyakarta. Under the reign of Sultan Hamengku Buwono V in the 19th century, the estate underwent a momentous transformation with the construction of a noble pavilion designed to welcome royal delegates. Known then as Pesanggrahan Harja Purna, it represented the pinnacle of Javanese hospitality and spatial philosophy.
As decades unfolded, the grounds expanded in both architectural majesty and governance.
