Sangkring Art Space is an open art gallery that was founded by Putu Sutawijaya on May 31, 2007. He built the gallery with the aim to appreciate and uphold art without considering cultural differences or ideology. The gallery is based on the motto “the old are respected, the young are valued, the margins are cared for, and the alternatives are given the opportunity to work together”. This gallery aims and encourages artists to participate in experimenting and trying new things. Sangkring Art Space Gallery has a fairly wide exhibition space with art events that can be done freely.
