During these few months of social or physical distancing, we surely missed a lot of things we usually do before the pandemic. Though socially we’re still in the distancing period, let’s list down things we miss the most and will do after the condition allows us again.
1. Definitely traveling
Traveling might be on the number one list most people do first after the condition allows. Since traveling abroad is not yet possible for an uncertain period, we can start by traveling inside the country instead. Some cities in Indonesia have already opened their doors to travelers,
2. Dine in our favorite restaurant
The feeling of entering your favorite restaurant is already special. Not to mention when the chef’s signature or our favorite dishes are served in front of us. The atmosphere we get while dining in our favorite restaurants is also something we couldn’t experience at our house.
3. Chat in a coffee shop
Stop by at the coffee shop after office to wait the traffic die down is something we surely miss. That moment when we’re able to chat with our friends or colleagues while sipping our favorite latte seems so special right now.
4. Explore the mall
Go to a mall is always perfect healing for us after a long and exhausting day or week. Be it for shopping, dine-in, or just wandering around the mall and do the window shopping, it is the thing most of us are looking forward to the most.
When we need a short break or while feeling exhausted because of work, a staycation is also our favorite choice for a simple refreshment. We can enjoy the hotel’s full services and amenities without having to go too far from the city. Staycation is also holiday concept without a high budget, yet have a good impact. Thankfully, after the physical distancing is being loosened up in some cities in Indonesia, we can start to plan for our staycation.
6. Have fun at the theme park or waterpark
Don’t you miss screaming and laughing out loud ad the theme park or waterpark? It is definitely one of the most exciting things to do to drive our stress away.
7. Go to a concert or festival
Not having a festive moment from attending our favorite yearly festival or long-awaited concert probably is one of the biggest losses from this pandemic. Though the music festival or concerts are now starting to go online, we definitely can’t wait to enjoy it live while jumping and singing along with fellow concert-goers.
8. Hangout in the bar or club
Missing so much the time when we spend the night at our favorite bars or clubs, dancing on the floor with the banging music from the best DJs in town.
10. Pampering at salon or spa
Hair is getting longer, the body needs a proper massage, and nails need to be done. As much as we can still do it at home, we just miss being pampered so much. Just can’t wait until we can go to our favorite spa and salon to get a stylish haircut or luxury spa treatment.
11. Sunbathing on the beach
Don’t you miss being tanned while enjoying the breezy air of the beach and the sound of the waves? As well as overlooking the clear blue sky, mesmerized by the sapphire and emerald color beach, and enjoy the sunset.
12. The city’s best street foods
Step into the city’s best hawker stalls for an excellent local delicacy or street foods is one of the best things to do after office or on the weekends. Dinner with the city’s nasi goreng or enjoy the late-night street food while sitting down and enjoy the raw nightlife is definitely a simple pleasure.
