Subway®, the world’s largest restaurant brand with more than 44,000 locations worldwide, has opened its first outlet at Pakuwon Mall, Surabaya and then followed by opening the second outlet in the Gubeng area. This milestone marks the start of an exciting new chapter for Subway in Surabaya, the second city after Jakarta, where customers will find cutting-edge and modern “Fresh Forward” restaurants and a better and more consistent ordering experience, either in person, through the app, or through a third-party delivery service.
Currently, Subway has been in 16 locations in Jakarta and Surabaya. With an area of 130 square meters, Subway in Gubeng is expected to be a place that will fulfill the Surabaya people’s desire for the best sandwich experience. Starting at 9 am, this restaurant will be open to the public and ready to serve customers in Surabaya.
“Surabaya is an important achievement in the expansion journey of Subway Indonesia. The city is one of the most significant business centers in the country, with more than 3 million residents. We see great interest and demand for Subway across the country, and we will strategically expand our presence in Surabaya and other cities in Indonesia,” said Anthony Cottan, President Director of PT MAP Boga Adiperkasa, Tbk.
Subway is an iconic brand and its philosophy of fresh food that will be made to order and food that is better for you when consumed at home or in stores is at the core of one of Indonesia’s biggest structural consumer trends. Subway is dedicated to providing a wide selection of sandwiches with great taste and better choices, as well as a great experience.
Anthony added, “We are the first choice for consumers who are looking for nutritious fast food and food options that the whole family can enjoy. After opening outlets at Pakuwon Mall and Gubeng, we will then open outlets at MERR this month. As we grew, we were inspired by our Sandwich Artist’s passion for satisfying customers by serving delicious, made-to-order sandwiches.”
