Nick Boyd brings more than 15 years of experience within Hilton Hotels & Resorts to his new role. Originally from Australia, he began his career in the hotel and restaurant industry before joining Hilton in Melbourne. Over the years, he has held various leadership positions in international markets, including London and Bangkok, gaining broad exposure to different hospitality cultures and operational standards.
Most recently, Nick successfully led the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Da Nang in central Vietnam, where he played a key role in establishing the hotel’s brand presence and operational performance in a competitive market. His experience in launching new properties and managing diverse teams is expected to bring a fresh perspective to DoubleTree by Hilton Surabaya as the hotel prepares for its next phase of development.
Commenting on the hotel’s future, Nick expressed strong optimism for the year ahead. He noted that DoubleTree by Hilton Surabaya is well positioned for continued success in 2026 and beyond, supported by a refreshed leadership approach across several departments. He also highlighted upcoming initiatives in the hotel’s Food and Beverage outlets, starting with special programs for Chinese New Year and Ramadan, as well as renewed focus on conference, events, and group offerings. These developments are aimed at strengthening the hotel’s role as a preferred venue for meetings, stays, and dining in Surabaya.
