Halfway through Ramadan, numerous venues are hosting events to celebrate this holy month, including The Westin Surabaya. The five-star hotel located in the Pakuwon Mall Superblock in West Surabaya organized a special iftar at The Westin Grand Ballroom and Convention Center.
The Westin Surabaya Presents a Fusion of Culinary and Fashion Show "Light of Ramadhan" with Ivan Gunawan
The Westin Surabaya held the event "Light of Ramadhan" in collaboration with renowned Indonesian designer, Ivan Gunawan. "Year after year, The Westin Surabaya presents Ramadan with special events for the people of Surabaya. This time, coinciding with Ivan Gunawan's series of shows in several cities, we collaborated with him to present a Fashion Show during the Iftar event at The Westin Grand Ballroom," explained Tessa Z., Complex Marcomm Manager of The Westin Surabaya and Four Points Pakuwon Indah.
The Westin Grand Ballroom & Convention Center, the largest ballroom in East Java, was transformed into a white-themed runway venue with a magnificent stage adorned with unique purple flower decorations. Several invited guests attended, including public figures Arumi Bachsin and Ritassya Wellgreat, Miss Grand International 2023. Tessa explained, "As the largest MICE venue, we are very flexible and open to hosting events with different concepts. Not only events like weddings, meetings, and large exhibitions, but also many shows such as concerts and fashion shows like this."
The collections showcased in the "Light of Ramadhan" fashion show were from Ivan Gunawan's own brands, Ivan Gunawan Prive and Mandjha Hijab. "In this 'Light of Ramadhan,' we present the Prive Raya Collections 2024, consisting of 40 fashion collections with a 'Gypsy and Elegance' theme, featuring various looks such as dresses, sets, blouses, outerwear, long tunics, pants & skirts. There are layered elements and details such as drapes and ruffle stacks, which are interpretations of stacks of rose petals, creating a romantic impression. Not only that, the Prive Raya Collections are also complemented with luxurious scarves, bags, belts, and prayer garments, giving a luxurious and elegant look," explained Ivan Gunawan during the 'Light of Ramadhan' press conference.
During this Ramadan moment, The Westin Surabaya also invited corporate partners and media guests who have collaborated well in the past. Tessa explained, "Of course, we want to seize this gathering moment to foster relationships and express our direct gratitude for the good cooperation between business associates, corporate partners, media, and The Westin Surabaya and Four Points Pakuwon Indah. Also, to demonstrate that our venue can be a choice for our partners to host their future events."
