The Trans Luxury Hotel Surabaya officially celebrated its Grand Opening on 14 August 2026 with an exclusive celebration at the Grand Ballroom. The event marked the arrival of a new luxury lifestyle destination in Surabaya, bringing hospitality, culinary experiences, leisure, wellness, and entertainment together in one destination.
A new expression of luxury hospitality has officially arrived in Surabaya.
Strategically located within the Trans Complex and directly connected to Trans Icon Mall Surabaya, the hotel welcomed distinguished guests, business leaders, partners, and prominent figures to the celebration. Among the guests were Chairul Tanjung, Founder and Chairman of CT Corp, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Vice Governor Emil Dardak, and former Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini.
The evening began at the Grand Ballroom Foyer, where guests were welcomed before entering the main celebration. Following a prayer led by Mohammad Nuh, former Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Alexander Jovanovic, General Manager of The Trans Luxury Hotel Surabaya, delivered a welcome speech and shared his vision for the hotel's arrival in Surabaya. The celebration continued with a Culinary Parade featuring a specially prepared seven-course Chinese set menu. Created by Chef Chin Kah Wah, Executive Chinese Chef of The Trans Luxury Hotel Surabaya, the menu combined classic Chinese flavours with contemporary touches. The culinary journey featured steamed prawn siu mai with truffle spring roll, Typhoon-style soft-shell crab bun, pan-seared scallop in hot and sour soup, steamed garoupa fillet with chopped chili sauce and Japanese ramen, wok-fried beef tenderloin cubes in black pepper sauce, pan-fried wagyu fried rice with crispy rice and special sauce, and mochi green tea ice cream.
Adding to the atmosphere, guests enjoyed a live performance by Marbecca and Stradivari Orchestra. The celebration continued with a special address from Chairul Tanjung, followed by the official launch ceremony with Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Emil Dardak. The evening ended with a special performance by Indonesian singer Ari Lasso. Beyond its Grand Opening celebration, The Trans Luxury Hotel Surabaya offers an integrated destination for guests. The hotel is directly connected to Trans Icon Mall Surabaya, while Trans Snow World is located just minutes away. Several city attractions, including Surabaya Zoo, are also within convenient reach.
