Ibis Hotels in East Java Celebrate 50 Years with “Go Get It” Campaign

Ibis hotels in East Java, including ibis Surabaya Tidar, ibis Surabaya City Center, ibis Budget Diponegoro, and ibis Styles Malang, recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of the ibis brand through the “Go Get It” campaign. Held on Jalan Tunjungan in front of Hotel Majapahit MGallery Surabaya, the event featured a lively combination of music, sports, and charity.

The celebration included live music performances and a vibrant flash mob dance by talented ibis staff. In collaboration with professional Zumba instructors, the hotels invited the local community to join in the fun, creating an exciting atmosphere. As part of their commitment to giving back, the hotels also donated 50 packages of school supplies to children from Yayasan Nurani Mandiri Surabaya, spreading joy and supporting education.  

The “Go Get It” campaign is part of a global initiative by ibis to mark its 50 years of redefining the economy hotel industry. Since its founding in 1974, ibis has offered high-quality, affordable accommodations with friendly service and consistent quality. In 2012, the brand expanded into the “ibis Family,” which includes ibis, ibis Styles, and ibis Budget, growing to over 2,600 hotels in 79 countries today. This milestone reflects the brand’s commitment to making travel more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

The celebration was attended by key leaders from ibis hotels in East Java, Yovi Syahilman, Hotel Manager of ibis Surabaya Tidar, Ina Rianawati, General Manager of ibis Styles Malang, Dwi Elok Lestari, General Manager of ibis Budget Surabaya Diponegoro. Their presence reflected the collaborative efforts of the ibis hotels in the region.
