
A CELEBRATION OF FLAVORS AND THE “THREASURE” ANNIVERSARY GALA DINNER
MARK THE 3RD ANNIVERSARY OF WHIZ LUXE HOTEL SPAZIO SURABAYA
Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya celebrated its third anniversary through a series of memorable events. Starting with Pesta Rasa, a Surabaya lodeh festival attended by 120 PKK mothers and communities across Surabaya, to the Anniversary Gala Dinner held on May 8, 2026, the celebration offered a unique experience inspired by the theme “Nusantara Heritage,” presented with the signature hospitality of Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya.
PESTA RASA, WHIZ LUXE HOTEL’S SURABAYA LODEH FESTIVAL
The event titled Pesta Rasa by Whizteria was held on Wednesday, May 7, 2026, at Janaloka Ballroom. In collaboration with She Radio, the event carried the theme Festival Lodeh Porong — a celebration of Surabaya’s traditional culinary flavors packaged into a creative competition involving 30 PKK and community teams from Surabaya. The main highlight of the event was the plating and decoration competition for Lodeh Porong, participated in by 30 PKK and community teams, each consisting of four participants.
Each team brought their homemade Lodeh Porong from home and arranged and decorated it beautifully at their respective tables. Judging criteria included three main aspects: the taste of the lodeh, the uniqueness of the side dishes accompanying the lodeh, and the aesthetics of the plating presentation. This competition was designed to explore the creativity of PKK mothers while reintroducing Surabaya’s culinary heritage to a wider audience. In addition, the event introduced one of Giri Raos Restaurant’s signature dishes, Lodeh Porong, to the public. The competition was won by the Mom Love Cooking community from Surabaya.
The collaboration with She Radio Surabaya became one of the main attractions of the event. She Radio not only participated as a media partner but also actively enlivened the competition through chants and a fashion show. The competition judges consisted of credible figures from both sides, namely Mrs. Asrilia and Mr. Yosan from She Radio Surabaya, as well as Chef Eri and Mr. Teguh Muliawan, General Manager of Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya.
“This competition is not merely about who wins. It is about togetherness, about our love for Indonesian culinary heritage, and about the spirit of mothers who never stop creating and innovating. THREASURE, THE 3RD ANNIVERSARY GALA DINNER PRESENTS A “NUSANTARA HERITAGE” CELEBRATION
The Anniversary Gala Dinner was held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Janaloka Ballroom as the peak celebration of the hotel’s third anniversary. Carrying the theme Threasure — a combination of “Three” and “Treasure” — the evening became a warm gathering for corporate and government clients, communities, influencers, and media partners who have been part of the hotel’s journey. The event featured a series of artistic performances, thanksgiving ceremonies, award sessions, and the launch of the hotel’s official mascot.
The event opened with a traditional dance performance by Sanggar Sribomantoro, followed by a Nusantara-themed angklung performance by La Femina Angklung, consisting of 28 female performers. The solemn atmosphere immediately immersed all guests in a celebration rich with Indonesian cultural heritage. Following a spectacular lighting show, Satria, the Master of Ceremony, officially opened the 3rd Anniversary Gala Dinner of Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya.
The evening was also attended by key leaders, including Mr. Teguh Muliawan, General Manager of Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya, and Mr. David Hosea, representing Intiland Grande as the hotel owner. Both delivered speeches expressing appreciation for the support of all partners and guests throughout the hotel’s three-year journey. The ceremonial moment continued with the traditional tumpeng cutting procession, preceded by a collective prayer as an expression of gratitude for the meaningful three-year milestone.
One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the official launch of the Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya mascot named Whizie. The teddy bear mascot wearing a Whiz Luxe logo t-shirt made its first public appearance accompanied by live music from Sugar Daddy Band. The launch of Whizie symbolizes the hotel’s transformation into a new chapter that is fresher, more family-friendly, and full of character, especially for children and families.
During the Awarding Night session, the hotel presented awards to selected partners and clients who had made outstanding contributions and shown exceptional trust throughout the past year. A total of seven award categories were presented in two sessions, accompanied by performances from Sugar Daddy Band. Each award recipient received an exclusive Whizie doll along with a framed certificate as a sincere token of appreciation from Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya.
