This June, the series welcomes a special guest: Chef Stéphane Simond, the renowned French culinary talent behind French Kiss Bali. From 12 to 15 June 2025, guests will have the rare opportunity to enjoy an exclusive menu at Uppercut Steakhouse, where Chef Stéphane brings the best of Ubud’s modern French-Italian cuisine to Surabaya.

With over 17 years of experience in Indonesia’s finest kitchens, Chef Stéphane has become known for his refined technique and creative approach. His impressive career includes leading roles at Cassis Restaurant in Jakarta and Alila Villas Uluwatu. In 2021, he launched Butterman, a French bakery known for its artisanal quality. Most recently, he introduced French Kiss, Bali’s first French culinary bar where elegance, playfulness, and bold flavor come together.
This 4 days collaboration will showcase the highlights of French Kiss Bali’s menu, carefully curated to reflect Chef Stéphane’s philosophy: blending classical French technique with local Indonesian inspiration. The result is a modern dining experience that is both refined and approachable.

Among the standout dishes are Butter Basted Escargots, rich and aromatic with herbs and French butter; the “Bouchée à la Reine”, a crisp golden puff pastry filled with creamy mushroom and poultry ragout; and the Risotto with Toba Lake Crayfish Sauce Nantua, a beautiful balance between Indonesian ingredients and classic French flavors.
For the main course, diners can enjoy Wagyu Beef Rossini, a luxurious dish of seared Wagyu topped with foie gras and finished with truffle jus. And to end on a sweet note, the Paris Ubud dessert brings together raspberry, pistachio, and moringa leaf cream in a delicate choux puff, an elegant fusion of French sophistication and tropical flair. The tasting experience is offered at IDR 650,000++ for lunch and IDR 850,000++ for dinner per person, making it a special opportunity to explore a refined menu crafted by a world class chef.
