JW Marriott Surabaya proudly reintroduces its signature dining series Flavors Beyond Borders, launching its newest chapter with a remarkable collaboration between the hotel's signature Uppercut Steakhouse and Bar Vera, a celebrated European bistro hailing from the coastal heart of Pererenan, Bali.

Following the successful debut of the series last year, this exclusive dining event promises a fresh and immersive culinary experience. Known for its contemporary European approach and produce-focused philosophy, Bar Vera brings a breath of relaxed sophistication to Surabaya’s fine dining scene. The takeover unites two distinctive culinary voices, the cosmopolitan elegance of Bar Vera and the classic refinement of Uppercut Steakhouse in a celebration of flavors, culture, and artistry.
Led by Group Chef and Founder Benjamin Cross, alongside Head Chef Dawid Koszykowski, Bar Vera’s team presents a multi-course menu that captures the soul of European cuisine through the lens of locally sourced island ingredients. Guests will experience this unique fusion through thoughtfully curated dishes such as Hamachi Tartlet, Tuna Crudo, Wagyu Croquette, and Stockyard +7 Ribeye, each prepared with technical precision and creative flair.
Two exclusive tasting menus will be offered for a limited time. The 4-course lunch set is priced at IDR 650,000++ per person, while the 5-course dinner set is available at IDR 850,000++ per person. To complete the culinary journey, the hotel also offers expertly crafted wine and mocktail pairings designed to elevate every course and enhance each flavor profile.
