It all started with an initiative from various communities to promote running in Indonesia, particularly in Surabaya. In 2019, the city hosted its first running event that combined the concepts of FUN, TOGETHERNESS, and CULTURE, titled Sincia Temple Run 2019. The event was a lively celebration, attracting runners from all walks of life and coinciding with the Chinese New Year festivities. Due to its success, the event continued in the following years.
In 2024, with full support from various sponsors, the Bank Jatim Sincia Run was successfully held as a fun run event in Surabaya, drawing around 1,500 runners from Surabaya and surrounding areas.
With the same enthusiasm, Bank Jatim Sincia Run 2025 returns, carrying the tagline "Strides for Hope.
