This month, we celebrate Jakarta’s 495th Anniversary with the theme “Jakarta Hajatan” on June 22. The Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan and the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government hold a series of celebrations. From Formula E, the ongoing Jakarta Fair, to a closing ceremony in conjunction with the grand launching of the Jakarta International Stadium. Read the complete story here.

In the light of the recent events, Indonesia has recently reported local transmission of the BA.4 and BA.5 sub-lineages of the Omicron Covid-19 variant. There are 5 locally transmitted cases, of which four were discovered in Jakarta and one in Bali. Read the full story here
