The hotel management has also provided training to all staff of The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta regarding health protocols in the new normal phase, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves and face shields. The implementation of this health protocol starts from the entrance, where security officers carry out thorough checks including measuring the body temperature of guests using thermal guns, mandatory use of masks in hotel and residential areas, providing hand washing facilities and hand sanitizers in public areas.

“Standard Operating Procedures that we make are directly applied in daily activities. The SOPs provide guidance for many protocols that must be carried out, starting from picking up guests, rooms, meeting rooms, food preparation and everything related to service,” said Kristanto. “The layout of the restaurant and meeting rooms is arranged in such a way as to apply the concept of physical distance as recommended by the government, without reducing guest comfort. But for now, we are closing activities in the restaurant in accordance with applicable government regulations.” he continued.

Food stalls are provided to replace buffets. Guests are not allowed to take food directly. The distance between the food stall and the guests is built by a rope stand and hotel staff will serve food selections.
