From Singapore to Bali, Kilo Kitchen first opened its doors in the year 2018 at Gunawarman 16 (South Jakarta). Finally, today we re-opened our doors on the 5th of March 2021! When you go down along the road of Gunawarman, new signage of two triangles can be visibly seen, hanging at the side of our building. Once again, offering our beloved guests the ideal night out—great refined comfort food, fresh cocktails and a vibrant after-hours experience in a super busy city, Jakarta.
The name ‘K’ is derived from the half-blue, half-yellow nautical flag for ‘K’, which signals the message “I wish to communicate with you”. K Jakarta welcomes guests from all walks of life for a communal dining and drinking experience among family and friends, both old and new.
Through all the journey of challenges during the pandemic time, Kilo Collective Co-Founder, Joshua Adjodha get reminded of where the concept name came from. “Going back to our roots, reminisce the symbol of K, going back to our core. “The name ‘K’ is derived from the nautical flag for ‘K’, which signals the message “I wish to communicate with you”.
Kilo Collective also welcome a new Executive Group Chef, Eduardo Montra from Peru. As a concept, Kilo Collective aims to communicate moments defined by refined Asian-Fusion cuisine, soulful music, warm conversations and unforgettable occasions.
Dining at every Kilo Collective will continue to give guests the sense that they are being welcomed home, time and again.
Our menu takes inspiration from different cuisines around the world and draws on the heritage of its Co-Founder. Big, bold flavours can be found on nearly every plate, with dishes favouring the tastes and cooking techniques of Latin America and Asia.
Kilo Collective aims to refresh and surprise the people in Jakarta that have to cherish our meals, with some addition from Chef Eduardo, while revamping the menu.
Our signature small plates shine through bright raw and cured seafood dishes such as the complex and creamy Wasabi Tuna Tartare and Seafood Ceviche. Not to mention its Beef Tounge Tacos with jalapeño garlic butter; Grilled Corn Furikake chipotle and furikake – an Asian twist on the classic Mexican street corn elotes; moreish Crispy Soft Shell Crab with addictive Thai yellow curry; and yuzu-seasoned Truffled Tai Yuzu Roll with fresh crab meat and tempura flakes, a Japanese Fusion taste.
Our all-time loved signature dish is “Squid Ink Rice” -jet black rice over crispy baby squid, ikura and torched aioli. Our Ebiko Cream pasta is another star that gives the balanced taste of the cream that compliments the juicy prawns.
For the sharing plates selections, all come from the wood-fired grill and range from Grilled Miso Market Fish, fork-tender BBQ Beef Ribs, served with potato kimchi, Jerk Lamb Shank served with quinoa, fresh herbs, and Jamaican roti.
Adjacent to the open kitchen is an impressive Turkish marble and brass bar that extends across the width of the space. Within signature cocktails are an intercontinental selection inspired by drinking cultures found halfway around the world and back. Flirt with the deceptively potent A Sure Thing made with vodka, vanilla syrup, mint, lime and cucumber, and more. Let’s get surprised by an HAPPY HOUR everyday offer from 3PM until 6PM, all day, every week.
Located in a sunny corner of Gunawarman 16 Road, floor-to- ceiling windows open the space into the street, with ample alfresco seating for watching the world go by.
While the interior stays true to the exposed, industrial aesthetic of Kilo Singapore), the space is anchored in a rejuvenated rawness that is tempered with utilitarian, domestic elements. Hand-sanded concrete walls, natural stone, brass finishings and recycled timber exude the confident; while polished marble, Italian ceramic tiles, vintage rugs and bold, bright fabrics inject warmth in tones of gray, gold, mustard and pink.
“We offers not a fine dining, but a fun dining, where guests can mingle with sharing experience concept everyday. By expanding our varieties of new menu also we wish to expand out market to a broader range of target markets.” Joshua Adjodha, Co-Founder of Kilo Collective.
