Back to enliven the weekend brunch in Jakarta, Mercure Jakarta Batavia finally comes with its newest Sunday Brunch at Malaka Restaurant. Bringing the theme of Oriental cuisine, guests are allowed to choose an array of delightful food selections, from Chinese to Japanese delicacy.
When we had the chance to experience this Sunday brunch last week (11/14), some of the tantalizing dishes were waiting even at the beginning of the buffet. Starting from the mouthwatering Peking Duck with its tender and juicy meat, crispy skin, also palatable flavor. You can also choose several dipping sauces to complement this dish. Then went to an array of sushi choices and three Japanese-style salads. We love all of them, but can’t resist the appetizing jellyfish salad with XO sauce.
Finish with the Japanese selections, we moved on to the Chinese delicacy which are the all-time favorites, shabu-shabu, and dim sum selections. Along with its varied toppings, the shabu-shabu is definitely comforting thanks to its rich and savory flavor. What also special about this shabu-shabu was its collagen broth. And for the dim sums, we couldn’t pick one that stood out the most. All of those homemade dim sums came with perfect skins, biting size, as well as delicious fillings.
To complete this Oriental-style brunch, Malaka Restaurant also offered Korean-style Black Bean Noodles and other fulfilling meal selections, such as Beef Black Pepper with Broccoli, Steam Kailan with Garlic Sauce, and more which you can enjoy with rice. For the beverages, you can choose from fresh juices to coffee and tea. Mercure Jakarta Batavia Sunday Brunch is available from 11 am – 3 pm for only IDR185,000 net/person.
