An annual celebration of arts and music festival under the Badan Semi Otonom Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Indonesia, Music Gallery, will be held on May 21, 2022, in two formats; offline and online. Each year, Music Gallery always brings a different theme to be raised to increase the awareness of every situation that is happening in the arts and music industries. This year, Music Gallery brings a new theme of “A Virtuous Harmony,” in which each word of ‘virtuous’ means righteous or morally right, and ‘harmony’ means many voices combining into one beautiful sound. If both words are combined into “A Virtuous Harmony,” then the combination of those words will have a meaning that refers to a group of voices that follow the utopian moral ideals. The theme was inspired by the flower power movement back in the 1960s, where Music Gallery had a vision and goal of the flower power movement as the solution to solve the clash between two communities by expressing themselves through music hoping that art can bring the people back together.

Music Gallery, as a platform for performing art and music, always provides a place for those who constantly defend their devotion to music, especially to those who are mainly affected by the pandemic. Music Gallery may be compared to a blank white canvas that might be drawn with any expression, but there is one value that we bring to the table that takes artists’ work to the next level of creativity. There have been interviews with five different artists that came from different backgrounds and their own respective fields, related to their art, which will be integrated into a narrative that will flow from the beginning to the end of the performance.

This year, Music Gallery, as stated before, will be held offline at Kuningan City Ballroom and online through the online streaming platform, with the guest stars; Yura Yunita, Nadin Amizah, Basboi, Nabrl, Noni, and Riverlane. However, this is only the first phase of the lineup; the second phase is about to be announced, and there will be more guest stars announced in the upcoming days. Not only will the guest stars perform, but the Music Gallery will also showcase art exhibitions and music performances that will be recorded and released on YouTube the following week. Music Gallery can be watched by purchasing the presale tickets that are available at a price of Rp295.000 for now through the-musicgallery.com/tickets, which will be linked directly to Loket, or by simply downloading the GoTix app It is hoped that bringing Music Gallery back to have its offline format can be a platform for people that miss offline concerts as in the past two years, where Music Gallery was held online, back as if the pandemic never happened.
