The Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival has been increasingly talked about and eagerly awaited. This annual event presented by Java Festival Production will begin in 2 days starting the 28th of  February through the 1st of  March 2020 at JiExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. Names such as Harvey Mason “Chameleon”, Phil Perry, T-SQUARE, as well as artists that are favored by the younger and rising generation such as Omar Apollo, Kiana Ledé, RINI, Bruno Major and The Free Nationals to the legendary music group The Jacksons is ready to enliven the BNI Java Jazz Festival 2020.

“We are excited to hold this festival for the 16th year and we can only do this because of the supports of the sponsors and partners who have always believed in our festival concept from the beginning. This event is about gathering together to enjoy music, games, food, and beverage all in one venue. This year also we are working with DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in launching the +Jakarta campaign which will allow the industry to collaborate with the local government. By the many years of being supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, it gives the validation for the festival to the International market. In 2020 will mark also the 11th year that we work together with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and Greeners to promote the Less Waste campaign and to promote the National Park in Indonesia. The special thing that always been awaited at the Java Jazz Festival is that many artists prepare special performances that can only be watched at the Java Jazz Festival. Amongst them are:

7 Bintang Feat. Deddy Dhukun, Fariz RM, Mus Mujiono, Trie Utami, Yuni Shara, Ita Purnamasari, Memes
7 Bintang is a long-lived collaboration. This collaboration project has given birth to hit song “The Road Still Long”. Previously, 7 Bintang’s original members are Dian Pramana Poetra, Deddy Dhukun, Malyda, Mus Mujiono, Yopie Latul Trie Utami, and Atiek CB. After the departure of Dian Pramana Poetra, the remaining 7 Bintang are Trie Utami, Mus Mujiono, and Deddy Dhukun. In the 16th BNI Java Jazz, 7 Stars will perform with the formation of Deddy Dhukun, Fariz RM, Mus Mujiono, Utami Trie, Yuni Shara, Ita Purnamasari and Memes.

Chrisye Live By Erwin Gutawa With Special Guest Gerald Situmorang
This project is bringing back the figure of the Indonesian music legend, through original sound recordings and visual support taken from various stages, tours and solo concerts from 1994 – 2003. This is a special gift from Chrisye’s friend and partner in the music of, Erwin Gutawa. At BNI JJF 2020, guitarist GeSit or known as Gerald Situmorang will also play in this project.

Yuni Shara Jazz Project feat. Glen Dauna, Rega Dauna, Jopie Item & Is Pusakata
One of the special collaborations that build curiosity is the Yuni Shara Jazz Project. In this project, Yuni Shara, who has long been present in the Indonesian music scene will perform together with Glen and Rega Dauna, where Glen is also the music director in this project. Besides them, there will also be legendary guitarist Jopie Item, and Is Pusakata, which was known from Payung Teduh.

Other collaborations and projects that are worth watching are the BNI Music Project feat. Rizky Febian, Ardhito Pramono, Cantika, Rebecca Reijman, Nima Ilayla. There will also MJP S4 feat. Portrait, Fariz RM & Humania and Yamaha Music Project that will feature Andien, Marcell, and Shanty which will be interesting to watch at BNI Java Jazz 2020 later.
