A one-stop shop for home accessories, souvenirs, and clothing sourced from all over Indonesia. The price is not the cheapest, but not a rip off either. Very recommended for a quick souvenir or interior hunting.

Alun-Alun, or city center in Indonesian, is a modern retail space in Grand Indonesia mall that curates the finest and most unique of Indonesia’s handicrafts. Here, you can also find authentic Indonesian food at Pala Lada, and Olah Oleh, a spot to get Indonesia’s authentic and sometimes rare coffees, spices, and other food produces. The prices are on the premium side, but with that, you’ll also get quality and one of a kind products. Come here if you are looking for totally unique pieces.

Famous as the place to go for Indonesian souvenir hunting in Jakarta. With an entire floor dedicated for handicrafts, including wood carvings, silverworks, and weaving from all over Indonesia, and another entirely for batiks, this place has it all. One drawback, all the prices have been marked up at least twice from normal price. We suggest you to only come here if you have absolutely no more time to hunt!

4. Gallery Indonesia WOW (Smesco)
Directly managed by the State Ministry of Cooperatives & SMEs, this store is dedicated to showcasing Indonesia’s quality products from all 34 provinces in Indonesia, spread in 4 floors. The place claims to only mark the price up about 25%, but to be sure, you’ll have to see for yourself!

5. Kem Chicks
Started from a humble grocery store in Kemang and a go-to place for the expat community to find a little piece of home in their range of gourmet and imported products, Kem Chicks has become a favorite also for its inviting environment. In their main shop at The Mansion, Kemang, you can also find some local handicrafts and souvenirs displayed. The selection is not the greatest, but it is well curated and you can hunt them down while doing your grocery shopping.

6. Thamrin City
This gigantic mall is a haven for Batik lovers; from precious hand drawn silk batik, handwoven ikats, to batik shirts and handicrafts with a bargain price. You do need to haggle yourself to the best price, and because of its immense size, it is very easy to get lost in the maze of shops.

7. Batik Keris
Batik Keris is one of the oldest and largest batik company in Indonesia, with more than 88 stores all over Indonesia and 29 of them spread in shopping centers of Jakarta and Tangerang. They have quite the collection from affordable to premium silk batik, to kids batik and handicrafts under their brand ‘Keris Griya’ in their bigger stores, such as the one in Jalan Sabang (Keris Gallery).
