Actively showing support for breast cancer awareness, Kitchenette is back holding the annual ‘We Heart Pink’ event throughout the breast cancer awareness month of October. As a kickstart to the campaign, Kitchenette held a sharing session and workshop together with breast cancer survivors and industry experts. This campaign sees Kitchenette working alongside mission-driven organization Pink Shimmerinc, who works towards becoming the go-to community for anything breast cancer-related.

As the second most common type of cancer in the world, it is but natural to support breast cancer awareness month by providing education to women communities. Helping in the fight to keep women safe with proper information was the We Heart Pink Talk Show by IPOP & Painting Workshop – “CONQUER: Powering through breast cancer, one step at a time” that took place on the 30th of September 2019. The talk show and sharing session that was part of NET TV’s weekly show, IPOP, was attended by community members from PopBela, Pink Shimmerinc, and the media to promote the awareness of breast cancer to the larger public. The talk featured breast cancer survivors (Imelda Theresia and Jeanne Pangaribuan) talking about the treatments, steps to handle the stress, and preventive care they need, whereas industry expert dr. Nia Novianti Siregar, SpPD from RS Kanker Dharmais spoke about early detection and how to avoid getting breast cancer.

Going the extra mile in supporting women in the fight for breast cancer, Kitchenette also has a charity program selling a Special Pink Macarons in all Kitchenette outlets in Jakarta priced at 55K/piece. The special edition macarons will be on sale as of 1st October 2019 until 31st October 2019. Working alongside community center Pink Shimmerinc, all profits from macaron sales will go straight to them to help medical expenses for breast cancer treatment.
